I like sleep. I mean I really, really like to sleep. Burrowing under my fluffy comforter and finding just the right cold spot on my pillow fills me with indescribable joy. There are two things that keep me from attaining my goal of a deep, refreshing REM cycle.

I hear random songs in my head all night and to make matters worse, if I can't remember the words of the song, it will play on repeat through the night. Sometimes the songs are classical or worship so that's not horrible (unless there are grammatical errors, then I rewrite). Other times it's like I have an 80's top twenty playlist going.  Then I want to throw things.  I also lie awake at night thinking about incredibly random ideas.  Some of my thoughts are quite serious and require hours of cogitation. Other thoughts are silly, funny or puzzling.  Last night I was thinking through the proper way to install my new Jeep soft top.  At one point I was thinking about the exorbitant cost of Christian Education.  More about that at a later date. This blog is a collection of thoughts, not too long, that pop into my overactive brain in the wee hours of the night/morning. I welcome comments, feedback and discussion. I will say up front that I am a follower of Jesus and believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and my writing will reflect that. I read for pleasure and to gain knowledge. I don't read trashy books or books that make me anxious (politics). My political beliefs are mine and I consider them private but I believe in the Constitution and the freedoms of the Bill of Rights. I love my husband, children, grandson and my dog.  My job is my ministry and I love what I do.  I think that's a pretty decent introduction. I hope you'll read my blog and get some enjoyment or at least some things to mull over. Happy Monday!

Trish is my only daughter and she has been and inspiration to me. So have her daughters; all of them! Her husband was blessed to find her and he has been the type son in law that has made me feel worrry-free. She, to me, will always be my "Darling Girl". The day of their wedding we drove all the back roads in three counties listening to "Fiddler on the Roof". The dad had five daughters just like Trish's husband. I am glad I only had one daughter; just think of the cost of five marriages! Thanks, Jeffie! Trish will be a blessing to all she reaches in her Blog. May God bless and protect all readers and w…
